Lawrence Braden, MBA, CPA is a highly accomplished financial executive and strategic consultant with a proven track record spanning diverse industries, including modular construction, consulting, finance, media, entertainment, and digital business ventures. From February 2020 to May 2023, he served as Chief Financial Officer at S2A Modular in Patterson, CA, where he authored 36 private placement memorandums and associated collateral that generated over $70 million in capital. In addition, he created more than 150 legal entities and implemented robust internal accounting, financial reporting, and human resource systems. His efforts also included drafting and managing letters of intent, licensing agreements, real estate contracts, and operational policies. During this period, Mr. Braden earned partnerships in BahiaVillages.com and LuxMods.com, expanding into the luxury 55+ sustainable homes and custom living spaces markets.

From September 2015 to February 2020, Mr. Braden operated Charter Business Consulting as a CFO Consultant, delivering strategic guidance to clients like PointeWestPD.com, GetGasCorp.com, and VirideFund1.com. He also specialized in business sales and leasing, facilitating restaurant sales in Sacramento and Los Angeles, as well as securing long-term commercial leases in Washington. Concurrently, he served as U.S. Market Director for ISEG.co, ILOEco.com, ILOExchange.com, ILOac.com, and ILOTunes.com, successfully introducing these innovative platforms to the U.S. marketplace.

Prior to that, from May 2014 to September 2015, Mr. Braden was a Contract CFO at Early Growth Financial Services in Seattle. In this role, he expanded the firm’s Pacific Northwest presence, provided full-scope accounting, tax, and valuation services to venture-backed startups, and offered CFO On-Demand services including financing strategy, cash flow management, and investor reporting. From December 2008 to April 2014, he founded Charter Business Brokers & Washington Brokers under Keller Williams, building one of Washington’s largest business brokerages, selling over 80 businesses, recruiting and developing more than a dozen agents, and acquiring a major competitor. During this period, he also testified in mediation cases as an expert on business valuation, appeared as a subject matter expert on multiple media outlets, and navigated market conditions with strategic foresight.

Mr. Braden’s earlier career, from August 2004 to October 2007, included contract consulting roles focusing on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls for major clients. He led large teams, ensured regulatory compliance, advised global investment banks, and provided specialized consulting on media company valuations. As a Senior Sarbanes-Oxley & Special Projects Consultant at Fisher Communications (August 2004 - February 2005), he managed SOX testing, remediation, and contributed to SEC filings.

At Vulcan, Inc. (September 2002 - June 2004), Mr. Braden served as Director of Finance & Controller for the media segment, overseeing accounting and financial reporting for 42 business units, including film productions, documentaries, and cultural institutions like the Experience Music Project. Prior to that, as Senior Director of Finance at Universal Music Group’s e-Business divisions (January 2000 - August 2002), he managed accounting for minority investments and strategic alliances, participated in market and competitive research, and contributed to the financial due diligence of high-profile acquisitions, including MP3.com.

Additional professional experience includes Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (May 1999 - January 2000), where he built complex financial models for entertainment industry engagements, and various accounting and audit roles at Time Warner (1994-1997), Paramount Pictures (1992-1993), and Deloitte & Touche (1990-1992). Throughout these roles, Mr. Braden developed a deep expertise in financial reporting, operational restructuring, compliance, and strategic planning.

Lawrence Braden’s educational credentials include an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the UCLA Anderson School of Management (GPA: 3.7), a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California (GPA: 3.5), as well as PMP and SOX certifications. His comprehensive experience and academic background position him as a dynamic leader capable of driving growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing sustainable operational improvements in a wide variety of business contexts.
